What we do.

Pay for a medical education in full, tell families across India that the route exists, and make sure the universities at the other end are ready to receive their students.

The scholarship.

Talent is rarely what’s missing. Cost remains the principal barrier for capable students across India, so an award from Axis covers the core costs of the education: the two bills that most often turn an offer into a refusal.

Tuition fees

The price of the seat itself. For most of the students the foundation meets, this single number is the reason a place is declined rather than taken up.

Mess fees

Daily meals, covered for the length of the course. A degree is finished over years of ordinary days, and a student who cannot eat properly does not finish.

How students are chosen.

A structured, two-part evaluation, designed so that support reaches students who have demonstrated the aptitude to succeed but lack the financial means to do so.

Academic merit
Each student's record and aptitude, weighed properly, so that every award backs someone ready to succeed in medicine. The foundation is funding a future doctor, not making a gesture.

Financial need
An honest account of each family's circumstances, so that support goes to students who genuinely cannot fund the path themselves rather than to those who could find another way.

Both must hold. Neither alone is enough.

Awareness, in person.

The trustees have travelled extensively across India, from metro cities to smaller towns, explaining the pathways into international medical education: what the routes are, what they require, and what help exists. These are the rooms that work happens in.

Admission is the midpoint, not the finish. With partner universities abroad, the foundation builds the infrastructure required to host and support Indian students, often at institutions unfamiliar with Indian students altogether.
